Phoebe Murray
Aspiring News & Sports Reporter
Hi I'm Phoebe...
An excited and passionate 23-year-old Phoebe Murray, is prepared to pack her bags and wander out yonder to follow her dreams of becoming a reporter.
Oops, force of habit let's try that again...
I've had some amazing opportunities in my short time in the industry and during my broadcast journalism studies both in Australia and across the United States. A few key highlights along the way have been:
- Creating a story "Surf & Turf" for 10 News First, which gave me my first job in the industry
- Hosting Telethon for the Seven West Network
- Reporting on the Perth Royal Show for GWN 7 News
I'm always actively looking for any opportunity that will allow me to continue to learn and grow in this amazing industry. Please feel free to check out some of my content, all work presented was created by myself.

PERTH'S BEACH COW
My commercial tv news debut!
After coming across a Perth Hills cow chilling in the Indian Ocean, I thought it was worth checking out the waves with Gorgeous George in the middle of one of Perth's heatwaves this summer. Needless to say, my 10 New First debut couldn't have been more fun.
TELETHON 2021
For Perth's Telethon, I was the only one in my class to chase, produce, present, write and edit a package with a gold-medal winning Paralympian, who had previously been a beneficiary of the charity. Due to WA's tough quarantine regulations, I had one opportunity to film with him and it was just a day and a half before the telecast's deadline. I edited until 3am, submitted the package and then came to uni later that morning to present a live tv show.
